DEPTH OF COLOUR
If you want to make a patchwork quilt and don’t know where to start – think
about how you would like your quilt to look.
If you mix a number of colours and textured-looking prints together, the result will still
look ‘flat’ if the depth of colour is all on the same level.
Try to get a combination of patchwork cotton pieces in light, medium and dark shades. By
mixing the shades of colour, patchwork will be far more interesting and will lose its
‘flat’ look.
